Water technology - MDSF

The MDSF is a decision support framework used to help produce catchment flood management plans. It guides the user through the process of analysing catchment flood processes, determining flood envelopes and flood risk areas, and assessing flood damages and social vulnerability.

It links into a GIS system and is able to display and analyse spatial information on catchment characteristics, demographic information, flood maps, environmental designations, urban areas.

It enables comparison of flood management and catchment change scenarios to assist in developing flood management policies for the particular catchment.
