The Museum of Islamic Art Park is an extension to the Museum Building covering more than 180,000m2.
The park incorporates:
- an 800m long alley with 200 palm trees planted along a formal granite promenade
- a 150ha of landscaping with formal and informal water features surrounded by planting indigenous to Qatar and the Middle east
- a 50ha peninsula comprising a rocky landscape mounding up to 2m high, creating a valley to encompass an oasis area
- a cove terminus providing a viewing plaza of the museum and the corniche
