Halcrow was appointed as the detailed design consultant by the Dumez-GTM-Chun Wo Joint Venture for the design of four 6 m diameter rock tunnels with a total length in excess of 9 km, and associated shafts, adits, central siding and crossover tunnels and portals.
The tunnels pass under Black Hill between Yau Tong and Tiu Keng Leng station and form part of the Tsuen Kwan O Extension Project for the Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway.
