Design and construction of 8 km highway widening works between Area 2, Tsuen Wan and Ka Loon Tsuen.
The project involves the expansion of a single carriageway road to dual carriageway standards on generally sidelong coastal ground.
The works include:
the design, tender and site supervision of over 100 new and remedial slopes
18 viaducts
12 footbridges
18 nos. viaducts
6.5km of retaining walls ranging from small L-shaped
walls to bored pile walls of 20metres height and substantial cuttings
8 km of DN 1000 WSD entrusted water main
Due to the scale of the works, it has been split into three construction projects supervised by around 100 resident site staff and managed by the office team.
