Scope
Halcrow were winners of a high profile international competition to design a transformation of the Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base into an Ecological Park with improved facilities for both the pandas and the visiting public.
The Halcrow scheme endeavoured to ensure greater privacy for the pandas whilst allowing limited public viewing areas, improved educational and conference facilities, and an expanded carpark.
