Halcrow were commissioned by Compact Power to provide an independent assessment of a new pyrolysis based system for the disposal of a wide variety of waste streams including Municipal Solid Waste, Clinical Waste and Tyres.

Subsequent to the issue of the assessment, a pilot plant was constructed, capable of processing wastes at up to 1 ton/hr, and Halcrow were commissioned to provide an independent assessment of the technical and operational performance of this plant.

A further commission was to observe trials of the pilot plant processing Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF). The client's report on these trails was assessed in the light of our observations, and a number of suggestions, for revision of the report, were accepted by the client for inclusion. Halcrow provided supporting text to confirm the results within the client's report and to validate the conclusions drawn.
