A pre-school at Thalaiyady Village, Jaffna District, in north east Sri Lanka, financed by the Halcrow Foundation, opened on 19 December 2005.

The school is catering for about 30 children aged between three and six years. The foundation financed the entire project, including the building itself, water supply and sanitation facilities, a play park, a security fence, furniture and learning materials.

The implementation was undertaken by the Tamil Rehabilitation Organisation (TRO), a non-governmental organisation involved in rehabilitation programmes in the north and east of Sri Lanka.
