The Skyhub project is the latest phase in the further development of Glasgow Airport, delivering a two storey steel framed terminal extension, and a reconfiguration of the existing Terminal Building. The new £30 million terminal extension provides additional retail space on the ground floor and a large security search area on the first floor.
The £10 million Central Pier Upgrade, 1998-2000, consisting of an extension to the pier providing additional passenger areas at gate rooms, new airbridges and fixed links, and new plant areas. The pier and lounges were upgraded and refurbished as part of the project
. The £42 million Stage 2A of their Major Development, 1994-1996, consisted of a new three storey steel framed terminal extension, new two storey steel framed pier serving eight new stands. New two storey steel framed pier connector. The terminal extension consisted of new baggage reclaim hall, retail and passenger facilities and plant rooms.
Key skills provided civil and structural engineering, bomb blast analysis and design, infrastructure design and geo-environmental engineering. Recent development projects include car parks, and fuel farm infrastructure.
