Scope
Halcrow designed detailed masterplan concepts for the future development of the Central Development Areas for three stations along Rail line 11, Shanghai, namely Jiading New Town Station; Auto City Station; and Nanxiang Station.
In accordance with Transit Oriented Development best practice, land uses are incorporated into a legible and dense urban system emanating from central transport hubs. The masterplans encourage walkable, mixed-use, high intensity, high-density developments around the stations, increasing patronage of the Rail line 11 system, other public transport modes and commercial / retail / entertainment facilities etc respectively.
