Feasibility study for a 11,500 ha irrigation project, followed by detailed design and management of project implementation.
The project comprises the development of 11,500ha of irrigation and drainage for existing rainfed farmland together with infrastructure improvements over an area of 25,000ha in the southern Philippine island of Mindanao.
The main components of the project are:

construction of school and health facilities |

provision of water supply and sanitation |
Considerable emphasis has also been given to agricultural extension and the organisation of the beneficiaries, together with a health education program and the training of women in income generating skills. The total cost of the project is about US$60M, funded by ADB.
