Sweco – Halcrow – Sogreah joint venture (SHS JV) was selected to support Bucharest Municipality PIU with technical assistance for future management of large municipal infrastructure projects. This is the first stage of a two phase ISPA measure to provide full treatment to wastewater flows from Bucharest.
According to the Contract, the SHS JV has to fulfill 11 tasks referring to:

	Project management support to the PIU
	Technical assistance support to the PIU to ensure compliance with FM conditions
	Review of Municipality of Bucharest’s capital investment departments
	Overview of the construction of Stage 1 works completed on time, budget and to the required quality
	Monitoring the performance of the Engineer and Works Contractor and ensuring that Stage 2 contracts are secured
	Monitoring the performance of ANB in reducing water consumptions and hence sewage flows
	New Master Plan for sewerage completed and priority works identified
	Applying for funding for Stage 2 contracts to include the development of documentation to secure EU development funds for the project
	Assisting in achieving the transfer of the newly constructed Glina WWTP works at agreed costs to the proposed works operator
