The main objectives of the public awareness plan is leveraging or extending the efforts and impact of this public education effort by proactively enabling other entities to connect to this plan and utilize its concepts and messages in their communications efforts.

A broad, nationwide public information campaign will be undertaken to disseminate the benefits of proposed project activities. The efforts will concentrate on institutions and groups (Government agencies, national environmental or professional associations, academia) that may influence the replication of the project in other areas.
