Halcrow has been awarded consecutive, annual, open-ended, multi-task contracts by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's Quality Assurance Division for more than a decade. The work of the contract consists of performing above water and underwater condition surveys and preparing Condition Survey Reports for specified waterfront installations.
These reports outline the condition of the facilities at the time of inspection, identify deficiencies which may present a hazard to personnel or the environment, and include recommendations and cost estimates for correcting such deficiencies. In many cases, the inspection projects have continued to the design stage, where Halcrow has been responsible for the design of repairs to piers, wharves, bulkheads, buildings, bridges, and other miscellaneous structures.
