Recent projects include preparation of the maintenance specification and contract negotiation for the supply of maintenance for a 15-year period for 31 x 3-car electric multiple units for the New MetroRail project in Perth, Western Australia and condition assessment of the total fleet of passenger rolling stock in Auckland, New Zealand.

New-build and refurbished rolling stock specification and project management.
Our extensive skills in this area include preparation of tender documents for RailCorp’s PPP project to replace 500 cars in the Sydney metropolitan system; and specification of new freight locomotives and wagons for a major Australian freight forwarder.

New-build rolling stock certification for the new trains and trams supplied by Siemens for operation in Melbourne.

Safety management, including support to the regulator in the review of the safety case for installation of the Train Protection and Warning System (TPWS) on regional fast rail lines in Victoria.

Risk assessment of driver safety systems and their ergonomic and technical interface with a range of rolling stock types vehicles for the Department of Infrastructure in Victoria.

Provision of auditing services for a range of clients, including a review of the train safety risk assessment process for RailCorp in New South Wales and safety audit of tram vehicles for the Department of Infrastructure in Victoria.

Modification, refurbishment and repair. Recent assignment include project management of the modification and refurbishment of diesel multiple units for Auckland Regional Council (now ARTA) and project management of collision damage repairs on behalf of RailCorp, New South Wales.
