Overview of Flood Estimation and Modelling
Overview
This one day course is aimed at those involved in specifying, managing or reviewing flood modelling studies, and gives an overview of the hydrological and hydraulic theory behind flood risk modelling. It also offers some practical experience of modelling using Flood Estimation Handbook methods and ISIS.
No prior knowledge of river modelling or hydrology is assumed and this course is presented from a practical point of view by expert Halcrow modellers.
The course is delivered through a series of presentations, hands-on practicals and open discussion sessions.
We can tailor this course to meet your specific requirements, contact us for details.
