Overview

This course is aimed at those involved in specifying, managing or reviewing ISIS models, with a strong focus on flood forecasting models. The course assumes no prior knowledge of river modelling and is presented from a practical point of view by expert Halcrow modellers.

The course is normally a two day course although a one day version is also available. The course is delivered through a series of presentations, hands-on practicals and open discussion sessions.

What are the ISIS files?
Initial conditions

Modelling problems and how to avoid them
Model audits

Session D – Flood Forecasting with ISIS

Requirements: speed, robustness etc
Converting models for flood forecasting
Model audit for forecasting models

The total cost of this one-day course is £250+VAT per person.

This course starts at 9:30am and ends at 5pm on both days. Lunches, morning and afternoon refreshments are provided.
