Introduction to ISIS Mapper
Overview
This one day course provides an introduction to ISIS Mapper, a powerful GIS utility which forms part of the ISIS suite. The course will show users how to get the most out of this new application. During the course users will learn to:
- Create and amend ISIS models using a range of tools within the software
- Import hydraulic model results from a range of packages (ISIS, TUFLOW and ISIS2D) so that they can be viewed and animated in a three dimensional GIS environment
- Create high quality floodplain maps and outlines
Understanding of hydraulic modelling using ISIS is desirable in order to gain the most from this course, however, the course assumes no prior knowledge of ISIS Mapper and is presented from a practical point of view by expert Halcrow users. However, it is suggested that the ISIS Mapper course is only attended once the ‘Introduction to ISIS’ training course has been attended or if the attendee has a good working knowledge of ISIS.
The course is delivered through a series of presentations, hands-on practicals and open discussion sessions.
