Integrated 1D-2D modelling with ISIS-TUFLOW
Overview
Halcrow have made a significant contribution to the growth of linked 1D-2D techniques through our development (jointly with WBM Pty Ltd) of the dynamic link between our ISIS river modelling system and TUFLOW. Through our deep understanding of the underlying methods combined with our practical experience of applying the software to real world problems we are in a unique position to provide appropriate training in ISIS-TUFLOW.
This one day course is aimed at those involved in developing or reviewing linked ISIS-TUFLOW models. The course assumes previous experience of using both 1D and 2D modelling packages and is presented from a practical point of view by expert Halcrow modellers.
The course aims to inform the attendee of when 1D-2D linking is beneficial, how to create linked models and how to identify and resolve numerical instabilities sometimes associated with linked 1D-2D modelling.
The course is delivered through a series of presentations, hands-on practicals and open discussion sessions.
