History - Halcrow has an established business providing its clients with maps, models and databases, primarily through its work in engineering surveying, laser scanning, hydrography and geographic information systems.

In February 2008, Halcrow enhanced its capabilities in this field when it acquired CommunityCartography, an internet mapping service and spatial data warehouse boasting the biggest data depository for the metropolitan area of New York, as well as commissions from around the world.
