The series portrays this heroic undertaking in a compelling way and with a dramatic perspective on a number of the many individual’s that have contributed to this amazing project.
Broadcast: November - 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28
All six episodes are at 22.00 hours on BBC 2 (exact timings may be subject to last minute schedule changes).
The series is produced and directed by acclaimed BBC documentary producer/director Anthony Wonke whose previous BBC 2 documentary "The Tower" ran earlier in the year.
This is a documentary series with the project viewed from the perspective of an outside team of documentary makers. This is not a London and Continental Railways (LCR) or Rail Link Engineering (RLE) film.
Whilst LCR has had a degree of editorial control over the accuracy of information and portrayals in the series, the content is entirely of Anthony's and The BBC's choosing.
