A major highlight in the construction of the UK's first high-speed railway was achieved on 6 March 2007 when, for the first time, a Eurostar test train arrived at St Pancras International in London. High Speed 1 (Section 2) has been awarded the ‘Judges’ Supreme Award’ in addition to winning the ‘Project over £50M’ category at the Quality in Construction Awards in London.
