Other Software
-
TUFLOW
Halcrow is the UK-based agent for the TUFLOW software developed by BMT WBM. TUFLOW is a powerful computational engine that provides two-dimensional (2D) and one-dimensional (1D) solutions of the free-surface flow equations to simulate flood and tidal wave propagation. It is the dominant 2D flood and coastal inundation modelling software in the UK. -
Themis
Themis is a software interface to manage the data input, running simulations and results processing of hydrodynamic river models. It enables rapid assessment of potential flooding incidents by generating real-time flood extent forecasts. -
Aquilla DSF
The Aquila Decision Support Framework is a software system providing users with the capability to investigate the environmental and socio-economic impacts of changes in the quantity and the quality of flows in a river system brought about by changing circumstances within the river basin. -
STAVROS
STAVROS is a simplified and integrated urban drainage catchment model developed by Halcrow with support from Anglian Water. It models the operation of Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs) in sewerage networks, the receiving river system and interfaces with process models of sewage treatment works. -
MDSF
MDSF provides a common framework for evaluating both economic and social impacts of flood management strategies. It has been used on variety of projects including Catchment Flood Management Plans (CFMPs), Strategies and Shoreline Management Plans (SMPs) by a range of organisations.
